Attracting Hummingbirds to Your Property and Garden With the Best Nectar

Nectar, whether from flowers or hummingbird feeders, is the “gasoline” that powers our little hummingbirds, and they must constantly fill their tank. Hummingbirds have amazing brains. They are good with directions and they remember the exact location of every good food source.

A hummingbird that migrates from Mexico all the way up the east or west coast to its breeding grounds will remember every single food source along the way. If you provide really good nectar, a hummingbird will remember where you are and will visit you again and again, year after year.

It is of utmost importance to keep your nectar fresh and your feeders clean. If a hummingbird is not happy with the food you provide, it will not come back. If the bird is female, she will not bring her babies to your feeders.
